POTTY TRAINING!!!
So my question for all of you is How do you train a 20 month old to potty train when they can hardly communicate with you as it is?!
This wasn't entirely my idea, actually a lot of people came to me asking if I thought about training Conner. I thought maybe 18 months was a little young... I'm still wondering if 20 months is a great idea.
I bought a little toilet for Conner that makes sounds when we goes in the toilet, but he thinks it's a toy! Of course, what else would he think it is?! Needless to say, I haven't Really tried to potty train this kid yet. Any tips?! :0)
P.s. I have pictures , but I'll spare you the details of them!

I am totally waiting until he's two to even think about it, so I have no clue on this one. Let me know how it goes if you do decide to start now. I'll need all the help I can get! :)
Does COnner wake up from his naps with a dry diaper? Because I learned from Super Nanny that that is the most sure sign of a child being ready to potty train. Good luck!
20 months does seem really young...but I guess if he's ready, he's ready. Make sure he's ready first though. Can he tell you when he's going to go? That's a big sign. There's a potty training method that we used with Kennedy that was pretty good, but she was about 2 years and 3 months old and it still took her quite a while to get the hang of it. I would try waiting a little bit longer and see if Conner will just stop on his own. But of course, he's your son and you know him best, so do what you think you need to. :)
good luck! im still working on it! let me knwo what works for u so i can try!
I read this & thought you might like to look it over. I WISH Henry was showing signs of potty training because he HATES getting his diaper changed. :)
Good luck!

Okay, I am no expert, but I do have a smidgen of experience and I would adamantally tell you to wait!! All 3 of my kids have done the "take off the diaper" stage, but none were ready to or able to actually potty train. Even at 2 I think most kids, but especially boys, aren't ready. Unless you enjoy cleaning up messes, it's so much better to wait and train in only a few days, rather than weeks or months.
P.s. I use white duct tape during the day and night. Good luck! You can do it!
Will wanted to start using the potty when he was about 18 months. I thought I had hit the jackpot. But it was a struggle to say the least and then about two weeks later he would have nothing to do with it until he was almost 3. I would wait a little longer.
Tell him if he goes potty on the toilet he will get a treat.. and talk to him about it a lot. Say mommy and daddy go on the toilet and have him watch you.. Brinsley is learning she has pooped and gone pee several times..it's still a work in progress but she is getting better every day.. the sooner the better thats my opinion!!!
