So the story goes...
Due date: Jan 31st = no baby
Mon. Feb 1st = Dr.s apt... still no dilation. Went to hospital for AFI and Non-Stress Test. Everything was normal. Was sent home. 11:30 P.M. went back to the hospital because of intense contractions. Finally dilated to 1 and 80% effaced.
Tues. Feb 2nd = 3:00 A.M. = Was sent back home. Dilation didn't change. Had contractions ALL day long. Went back to the hospital at 6:40 P.M. Dilated to 3. One hour later barely passed 3 in dilation. Major contractions!! Painful contractions!!! = Dr. said let's keep me and get me ready to have a baby!!! :0) Best news I've ever heard!! besides getting the epidural.
So... they watched me, and I SLOWLY progressed to 4, 5, 7, back to 6 in dilation...???? Not making sense?!?! Ya to me either....
Epidural ran out a couple of times = PAIN!!!! a couple of times!! By about 5:45 P.M. Dr. meets us at the hospital = C-Section. I'm obviously not dilating anymore, and there is some kind of problem going on. = ....
Wed Feb 3rd = Conner is born! :0) at 6:49 P.M. ....
Spent the next few hours enjoying our new little boy and spending time with some family...
10:00 P.M. = Everyone started to leave and nurses noticed some complications. My heartbeat was up due to a loss of blood. Turned out I was hemorrhaging, due to blood clots. I lost over a liter and half of blood. Kind of scary for Andrew and everyone else. I was in and out of it so I didn't know what was going on until I started coming to when things were finally getting better. The nurses did a Great job stopping the loss of blood!! Then I spent the next 12 hours pumping blood back into me.
After all was said and done, it was ALL worth it to have a strong healthy baby boy!! And I'm definitely excited to not be pregnant anymore!
We wish we could have called everyone to tell them what was going on, but as you can tell we were all concerned and out of it and quite exhausted by the whole experience.
Everyone now is doing Great!!! And we can't wait to see everyone and to have you all meet our newest addition to our family, Conner!!
Enjoy the few pictures we have so far!!! :0)
